Kevin Leroy Baker passed away on April 25th in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born to Robert "Bob" and Danielle "Pinky" Baker on March 19th, 1958 in Norfolk, NE. After residing in Omaha for a brief time, the family relocated to Council Bluffs, which he called home until his death. Kevin had a special relationship with God and was baptized by his father at the age of 12. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1976 and was employed at CRC for 37 years.
Kevin's beautiful tenor voice and early love of music lead to his involvement in a variety of choral music groups in high school. His passion for music continued throughout his life. One of Kevin's favorite things to do was to sing karaoke! He also enjoyed jamming on his bass guitar, fiddling with "gadgets," and on occasion he was known to go fly a kite. From the time he was a kid, he had a special love for animals but ultimately his heart belonged to his Siberian Husky, Bandit.
Kevin was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Bob and Pinky Baker, as well as the love of his life, June Schaben.
He is survived by his daughter, Megan Wolfe; granddaughter, Bailey Wolfe; siblings, Jeff Baker (DeAnna), Bryan Baker, Barb Gilbert (Bud), and Michelle Ring (Lyn); many other family members and special friends.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be held on Sunday, May 5th at 4pm at Citylight Church, 2109 Railroad Hwy, Council Bluffs. Following the service, we welcome you to join us in fellowship, food and to share memories of Kevin.
