Larry Funkhouser

Larry O. Funkhouser, age 60, passed away peacefully at his home on April 11, 2025.

He was born April 26, 1964 to Roger and Jean (Fitzsimmons) Funkhouser in Omaha, NE. Larry worked at the Council Bluffs Country Club for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Funkhouser; and brother, Donald Funkhouser.

Larry is survived by his companion of many years, Sherry Harris; mother, Jean Funkhouser; children, Paige (Abel Alcaraz) Funkhouser, Desirae Funkhouser, and Aaron Funkhouser; siblings, Roger Funkhouser, Aaron (Clarinda) Funkhouser, and Kimberly (Jeff) Koning; 9 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, April 18, 2025. The family will direct memorials.
