Lee Ring

Lee Ring, age 59, passed away August 6, 2022.

He was born May 21, 1963 to Fred and Sheila (Patten) Ring in Council Bluffs, IA. Lee graduated from Tri-Center High School with the class of 1981. He earned his Bachelor's Degree at Buena Vista University and worked for Boys Town. Lee was a member of Calvary Country Church.

He loved bicycling, photography, traveling, and his family. He loved reading the word of God and teaching and sharing it with others. He was a trusted advisor to many. He was quick-witted and goofy. He would deep dive into a new passion every few years; from aviation to genealogy to space exploration. He was so much more than this list of things.

He was preceded in death by mother, Sheila Ring.

Lee is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sandra Ring; daughter, Lindsey Ring; father, Fred Ring; siblings, Jeff (Marlene) Ring, Karlene (Bill) Schultz, Greg (Diana) Ring, Jennifer (Fred) Smith, Becky Ring, and Ralph (Rena) Ring; mother-in-law, Madonna Kramer; siblings-in-law, Carol Leinen, Connie Kramer, Rick (Karla) Kramer, Kathy (Dave) Huntington, Deb (Larry) Heller, and Lori (Tom) Svagera; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, August 11, 2022.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, August 12, 2022. Interment is in the Neola Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wabash Trace Nature Trail
