Leona May Belt

Leona M. Belt, age 91, passed away June 10, 2017.

She was born in Council Bluffs on May 2, 1926 to the late Lester and Ethel (Potter) Rhodes. Leona retired from Laidlaw Transit.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Belt; daughter, Claudia Hopkins; son, William L. Belt; step-son, William H. Belt; step-daughter, Clair Marie Heitmier; great granddaughter, Taylor Isaac; grandson, Curt Bolte.

Leona is survived by her children, Beverly Bazer, Willard Belt (Virginia), Wayne Belt, Joanne Maeder, Patty Bugg (Henry); daughter-in-law, Deb Belt; brother, Lester Rhodes (Carola); many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation is 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Wednesday June 14, 2017 at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment is in the Crescent, Iowa Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
