Linda Sue Mansfield

Linda Sue Mansfield, age 64, passed away March 20, 2014. She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on July 10, 1949 to the late William & Genevieve (Christiansen) McIntosh. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the class of 1967. In 1973 she moved to Sheldon, Iowa and while there opened KKFM with her then husband, Ken. She worked for ARI Insurance from 1990-1994. In 1994 she moved to Sioux City and began working at St. Thomas Episcopal Church where she met some of her dearest friends. She was instrumental in starting the churchs food pantry. While living in Sioux City she met Craig Mansfield and they were married for 12 years. In 2007 she went to work for Jensen Imports and was most currently their office manager. The people at Jensen Imports were very special to her and considered them a part of her family. She loved the ARTSPLASH Event in Sioux City and helped organize and coordinate the event for nearly 20 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Hatcher. Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Krissa & Kory Jacobsma; she adored her grandchildren, Brandon, Macy and Dawson and we were guaranteed a smile and funny story whenever she spoke of them and she was so proud of them in every way."; companion, Mike Edris to whom she had recently reconnected and was a very special part of her life; best friend, Candace Pedersen; sister and brother-in-law, Judy & Harry Sipes; nephews, John Hatcher and Dan Hatcher; additional nieces and nephews. Funeral service is Tuesday March 25, 2014 at 1PM. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service. Interment is in the Memorial Park Cemetery followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Memorials are suggested to St. Thomas Episcopal Church Food Pantry or ARTSPLASH of Sioux City, Iowa. There will also be a Celebration of her life will be on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Sioux City.
