Lloyd G. Young

Lloyd G. Young, age 86, of Council Bluffs passed away October 27, 2015. He was born in Creston, Iowa on January 25, 1929 to the late Andrew and Adra Young. Lloyd owned and operated a number of nursing homes throughout the years. He enjoyed horseback riding, restoring classic cars, and traveling internationally. He also had a pilots license. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Young; son, Rick Young; 3 brothers and 1 sister. Lloyd is survived by his children, Doug Young (Eileen), Jeri Young, Ronald Young, Clark Young; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Interment will be later that afternoon in the Prairie Lawn Cemetery near Spaulding, Iowa. The family will direct memorials.
