Loren H. Nielsen

Loren H. Nielsen of Council Bluffs passed away November 26, 2011. He was born January 6, 1926 to the late William & Anna (Westphal) Nielsen. Loren proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was the founder and chief executive officer of the Schreiber Corp, Inc. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis (Rogers) Nielsen; son, Blake Nielsen. Loren is survived by his wife, Edris (Zimmerman) Nielsen; sons, Vance Nielsen and Loren ?Rusty? Nielsen; daughters and sons-in-law, Dana Nielsen & Joel Bertrand and Beth Nielsen-Smith & Fred Smith; step-daughters, Becky Wetenkamp, Jo Peters & her husband, Larry; step-son, Robert Zimmerman & his wife, Linda and Timothy Zimmerman & his wife, Shelly; brother & sister-in-law, William ?Bill? & Cindy Nielsen; sister, Shirley Jurgensen; grandchildren; great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday 3:30-4:30PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial Service will begin at 4:30. A reception will follow in the Hoy-Kilnoski Community Room. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude?s Hospital or Children?s Square.
