Lorraine (Lorrie) J. Skow, age 70 of Council Bluffs passed away February 23, 2013. She was born July 13, 1942 in Cherokee, Iowa to the late Lawrence & Jeannette (Borrink) Cave. She was a longtime administrative assistant in Family Practice and student health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Lorrie was her grandchildren's biggest fan. She never missed a game or school function and she was the best and loudest cheerleader in the bleachers. Lorrie made sure her family and friends knew how much she loved them. She has always been a proud Husker fan and recently added the Hawkeyes to her favorites referring to herself as a "HuskerHawk". Lorrie loved her job, her co-workers, and especially working with the students. She also loved being involved with her church and her church family. If anyone ever needed anything she was always there for them no matter who, no matter when, and no matter how far away. She was a strong, independent woman with a heart of gold. Lorrie is survived by her daughters, Julie Michalski and Jodie Skow; brother, Loren Cave; 7 grandchildren; Laraina, Mitch and wife Taylor, Autumn, Brandon, Savannah, Brandie Linn, Kelsie and 3 great grandchildren. Memorial service is Sunday March 3, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church ? 6630 Dodge Street in Omaha.
