Lucille J. Wilcken

Lucille J. Wilcken, age 94, of Council Bluffs passed away at home on August 5, 2015. She was born in Council Bluffs on August 21, 1920. Lucille graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and was a longtime member of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved to read and was especially fond of shopping. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight H. Wilcken; sisters, Doris Wilson and Wilma Babe Watkins; brothers, Merle, Paul, Lloyd, Ralph, Charles, Lewis and Jim Brown. Lucille is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and James Beno, Mary and Dennis Williams; grandchildren, Kathy Hatcher (Robert), Tammy Wagner (Robert), Matthew Lathrop (Jennifer), Wendy Williams and Rebecca Beno; 7 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. on Monday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 239 Frank Street Council Bluffs, IA. Interment is in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church or Hospice with Heart.
