Lucy Ann Kinney

Lucy Ann Kinney, age 78, passed away August 5, 2024. She was born October 28, 1945 to the late Joseph and Margarett (Lett) Osborn in Council Bluffs, IA. She graduated from Underwood High School with the class of 1964, and she earned her LPN from Iowa Western Community College in 1968; she then earned her BSN from the College of St. Mary's in 1992. Lucy was a nurse for many years, beginning at Jennie Edmundson Hospital, several years at the VNA, and retired from Home Health. She was a member of Hazel Dell United Methodist Church, and also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was active in 4H as a member in her childhood, and a volunteer as a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Lucy is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Eric) Olson; grandchildren, Shelby (Timothy) Dragt, Abigail Olson (Colton Cook), Arron Olson (Melissa Boggs), Nicole Olson (Brenner Sullivan); great-grandson, Oliver Dragt; sisters, Cindy and Allen McGranahan, Susan and Thomas Short, Mary and Randy Frisbie; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024. Final resting place at Hazel Dell Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
