Lwazi Mafilika

Lwazi Fundile Mafilika was born on May 27, 1977, in Cape Town, South Africa, and died on January 16, 2024, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He moved to Omaha, NE in 1987 and made it his home. He loved spending time with friends and family. He attempted to pass on his love of freestyling to his children. He enjoyed skateboarding and working with his hands.

He was proceeded in death by his grandparents Nomvuselelo Ngonqo, John Mpengu, Matilda Nolan, Mnyamana Mafilika and significant other's mother Judy Johnson. He is proceeded in life by his parents Lucy Mafilika and Stanley Mafilika. By his Significant other of 19 years Judy Agersea. By his Children Xolisa Mafilika and fiancé Erin, Tristan Agersea and wife Lexi, Joey Flannery, Unity Mafilika and Mother Sarah, and Lwazi Mafilika II. By his Siblings Amanda Austin-Mafilika and Husband Will, Liyanda Painter and husband Joshua, And Qhayisa Mafilika.By his grandchildren Lindi Agersea and Lylah Agersea. All uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces, and friends considered family.

Visitation is Monday, January 29, 2024, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.
