Lynn Leroy Reekers

Lynn Leroy Reekers, age 81, of Council Bluffs passed away December 21, 2016.

He was born in Hospers, Iowa on February 9, 1935 to the late Arie and Maggie (Vankekerix) Reekers. Lynn proudly served his country in the United States Army and was the longtime owner of Bluffs Quality Saw Shop.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Rozella, Geneva, Elizabeth, LaVonne, Mary Jane and Leona; brother, Herbert.

Lynn is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sylvia Reekers; daughters, Renee Erbes (Chris), Melinda Shaver (Dan), Holly Reekers; granddaughter, Michaela Reekers (David Geyer); grandson, Trent Bilello; sister, Gladys Dailey; great grandsons, Joseph Geyer and Christopher Geyer; nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Tuesday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment is in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
