Mabel M. Collins

Mabel M. Collins, age 100, of Council Bluffs passed away November 1, 2015 at Oakland Manor. She was born in Council Bluffs on July 17, 1915 to the late Peter and Anna (Miller) Jorgensen. Mabel had been a member of the Danish Sisterhood, Royal Neighbors and Farm Bureau. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl L. Collins; siblings, Marie, Grace, Wilhelmina, Alfreda, William, Geraldine, James, George and Charles. Mabel is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Verna Collins; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Richard Rauhaus; grandchildren, Rita Muckey (Rick) and Shawn McDonald; great grandchildren, Joshua (Mary), Matthew, Justin and Caleb; great-great grandson, Troy; a host of other family and friends. Funeral service is 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Interment is in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
