Margery L. Green

Margery L. Green, age 97, of Council Bluffs passed away February 15, 2015 at Risen Son Christian Village. She was born in Council Bluffs on August 10, 1917 to the late John and Anna Schafer. Margery and her late husband, Lynn Green owned operated the Chieftain Café which was in downtown Council Bluffs. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her infant son, Jerry Green and son, Gary Duke Green. Margery is survived by her sons, Robert Green, R.L. Dick Green (Mary Lou); daughter, Joan Goldapp; 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation is Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Thursday 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in Cedar Lawn Cemetery followed by a luncheon in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
