Marilyn A. Kennedy

Marilyn Ann Kennedy, age 78, passed away at her home in Council Bluffs, Iowa on June 13, 2019.

She was born in Council Bluffs on January 8, 1941 to the late Leland and Louise (Wilson) Evans. Marilyn had a daycare in her home for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard "Dick" Evans.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, LeRoy Kennedy; daughters, Susan Mayer (David), Jill Powell (Bruce), Merilee Mescher (Mike); sister, Linda Mattox; grandchildren, Cole Mayer, Kristen Ettleman (Trevor), Seanna O'Connor (Tommy), Benjamin Mescher (Jill), Quinn Powell (Adam), Nolan Mescher, Lily Mescher (Jacob Cook), Callissa Mescher; four great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is Monday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Memorial service is Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorials will be directed by the family.
