Mary Jean Chatel

Mary Jean Chatel, 79, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, left this earth to be with our Heavenly Father May 1, 2021.
Mary, most of us know her as Granny, as we all know, loved to sing and dance! If you were ever blessed to witness this, she had quite the dance moves! She loved everything about space and oh lordy, Shirley Temple. She loved her family, but most of all, her grandkids and great grandkids. If you encountered her I'm sure you heard her brag about them! She loved them wholeheartedly.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Chatel of Council Bluffs, IA; grandsons, Thomas Petrzilka of Council Bluffs, IA and Cody Hiers of Scranton, IA; granddaughter, Becky Mitchell of Washington State; several great grandchildren, Hailey, Dylan, Kobe, Brianna, Kadyn, Emma, and Abel.
We love and miss you, Granny. Until we meet again, fly high!
