Mary Lou Fisher

Mary Lou Fisher, age 80 of Council Bluffs passed away September 16, 2013 at Hospice with Hearts Hospice House in Glenwood, Iowa. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on March 19, 1933 to the late William and Mildred (Sigafoos) Owen. After graduating from Central High School in Sioux City, Iowa, she attended Airline School. She had many jobs including Mode-O-Day, McKesson Drug Company and Iowa Western Community College. The job she loved most was as snack bar manager at the Council Bluffs Drive In where she worked seasonally for 48 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Glen Fisher; brothers, Clifford, Robert and Howard Owen; twin grandsons, Nicholas and Nathan Wright. Mary Lou is survived by her daughters, Debra Wright-Florke (Scott) and Deanna Fisher-Krug (Jesse); brother and sister-in-law, Don and Jan Owen; grandchildren, Nicole Wright, Leah Wright and Emily Fisher; great grandchildren, Caska Lynn, Evan Lane, Carsen James and Ember Noel; many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Thursday 6-8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Friday 10AM at the funeral home. Interment is in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery followed by a luncheon in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
