Mary Moser

Mary Evelyn Moser, age 98, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, died on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was the only child of Clarence Otis and Vera Blanche Butts. She was born on August 4, 1925, and lived her childhood days in Riverton, Iowa. She graduated from Riverton High School in 1943.

Mary was married to Robert Dean Moser. They lived in Shenandoah, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska before settling in Council Bluffs. Mary was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church and belonged to Circle 3 and Bethany Women's Group. She was also a volunteer at Jennie Edmundson for many years. Mary enjoyed playing Bunco and Cards.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and son, Charles Moser.

Survivors include son Michael (Darlene) Shelton of Underwood, Iowa, son Joe (Sue) Moser of Council Bluffs; daughter-in-law Patty Moser of Audubon, Iowa; grandchildren, Bill (Libby) Shelton, Michelle (Scott) Jaros, Kedrin Moser, Nathan (Jenny Jessen) Moser, Natalie (Tony) Prodywus, Erin (Brian) Terveer, and Robyn (Benjamin) Stone; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Jaros, Blake Jaros, Emma Jaros, Michael L. Shelton, Samantha Shelton, Deacon Stone, Royce Terveer, Corbin Stone, Reed Terveer, Vincent Prodywus, and Remington Stone.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Interment will be that afternoon in the Utterback Mt Zion Cemetery near Riverton, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to the food pantry at Gethsemane Presbyterian Church in Council Bluffs. The family will direct memorials.
