Matthew K. Carpenter

Matthew K. Carpenter, age 25, of Council Bluffs passed away August 25, 2014 at the Nebraska Medical Center. He was born in Council Bluffs on November 12, 1988 to Duane & Vicky (Stogdill) Carpenter. He worked in the maintenance department at ConAgra. Matthew is preceded in death by his grandfather, Gilbert Stogdill, Jr. He is survived by his parents, Duane Carpenter and Vicky Carpenter; sister and brother-in-law, Heather & Michael Johnston; brother, Adam Carpenter; grandmother, Virgene Stogdill; girlfriend, Maria Contreras; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Thursday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in the Memorial Park Cemetery followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
