Maxine Patricia Kreger-Orme

Maxine Patricia Kreger Orme, age 98, of Council Bluffs, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Risen Son Christian Village where she resided at since March of 2008. She was born in Council Bluffs on August 10, 1917 to the late James H. and Carrie A. (Bryan)Conley. Pat graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the class of 1935. She worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company prior to her marriage to Donald L. Kreger. Her marriage to Don allowed for her to be a homemaker for her family. Pat was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, active in Womens Circle and was a Sunday school teacher. Pat enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Family reunions were much anticipated by her and enjoyed by all family members. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald L. Kreger of 46 years and Berne Orme of seven years. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret and Virginia and brother Miles and daughter-in-law Rita. Pat is survived by her sons Jim (Deborah) of Howards Grove, Wisconsin, Joe (Sherry) of Savannah, Georgia, Jerry (Sheryl) of Vacaville, California, Jeff (Ruth) of Council Bluffs, Iowa and step-daughter Diane Smith (Charles) of Encinitas, California. Eight grandchildren: Stephanie (Jeff), Julie (Phil), Carrie (Mark), Melinda (Jeff), Brad (Jennifer), Kevin (Elaine), Kyle (Angela), Sarah (Mike), and step-grandsons CJ and Andy. She also has 18 great grandchildren and one on the way; many nieces and nephews. Visitation is 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday January 10, 2016 at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Interment is in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church or Hospice with Heart.
