Melvin E. Hinrichs

Melvin E. Hinrichs, age 80, passed away August 23, 2016 at CHI Lakeside Hospital. He was born in Glenvil, Nebraska on April 25, 1936 to the late Weert and Julia (Loschen) Hinrichs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Darrell, Wayne and Laverne Hinrichs. Melvin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Myrtle Hinrichs; children, Rick Hinrichs, Linda Norman (Greg Goodman), Teresa Bartels (Steve), Peggy Wilkinson (Rich), Dawn Griffith (Bill), Kelly Hinrichs (Susan); brothers, Leonard Hinrichs (Dorothy) and Ken Hinrichs; sister, Ilene Weber; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. A celebration of life memorial service is 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 27, 2016 at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church 2650 Farnam Street in Omaha. The family will direct memorials.
