Michael James Koesters

Michael J. Koesters, age 46 of Council Bluffs passed away September 21, 2013 at his home. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 18, 1967 to Albert and Patricia Koesters. Michael graduated from Underwood High School and then attended Iowa Western Community College. He also served in the Iowa Army National Guard. Michael was a toolmaker at Distefano Technology and Manufacturing in Omaha. Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Koesters. Michael is survived by his wife, Linda Koesters; daughter, Bethany Koesters; son, Drew Koesters; father, Albert Koesters Sr.; siblings, Margaret Varlamos (Don), John Koesters (Diane), Mary Sheridan (Sean), Cindy Shaff, Albert Koesters Jr. (Lisa), Kathleen Tiaden (Kevin); mother-in-law, Kathy Booth; a host of other family and friends. Special remarks by Carole Patrick will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral mass is Thursday 10:00 a.m. at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Neola, Iowa with Rev. Raphael Masabakhwa celebrating the mass. Inurnment is in the Ridgewood Mausoleum followed by a luncheon in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
