O. Jane (Hall) Wiebesiek

June 15, 1936 — July 13, 2024

O. Jane (Hall) Wiebesiek, age 88, passed away on July 13, 2024 in her home, surrounded by family. She was born the youngest of 13 children on June 15, 1936 to the late Jerry Richard Hall and Hannah Mae (Shellenberger) Hall in Castana, IA. Jane grew up on a small farm. Most of her brothers and sisters were grown with families of their own by the time she was born. She was employed at Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Medical Records Department for over 33 years. She loved to bake and cook for her family and always had special treats for the many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was famous for her amazing cinnamon rolls and cookies.

Jane was preceded in death by her infant son, Timothy Jay Field, her first husband of over 42 years, Jay Clifford Field, her daughter, Lori Ann (Field) Krech, and her daughter, Susan Louise (Field) Price. She was the only remaining survivor of her immediate family of 12 brothers and sisters.

Jane is survived by her second husband, Robert E Wiebesiek (married 11/15/2015); daughter, Nancy (Curtis) Weber of Freeport, FL and her son, Dan (Michele) Field of Southport, NC, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.

It was Jane’s wishes to donate her body to the Nebraska Medical Center for research. 

Celebration of Life service to be held at First Christian Church, 20794 Hwy 92, Council Bluffs IA 51503 on Sunday, September 22nd at 3:00 pm.
