Ocie Mae Carlson

Ocie Mae Carlson, age 79 of Council Bluffs passed away September 12, 2012 at Mercy Hospital. She was born January 23, 1933 in Exeter, Missouri to the late Charlie and Flossie (Wilson) Kirk. Ocie retired from Richmond Gordman, later known as the ½ Price Store in 1996 after 17 years in the shoe department. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Richard Kirk, Jack Kirk, Huck Kirk and Keefer Kirk; sister, Irene Thorbjornson; 2 nephews, Fuzzy Kirk and Billy Zellers. Ocie is survived by her husband, John Carlson; step-son, Greg Carlson (Penny); step-daughter, Ann M. Carlson; grandson, Stephen Carlson; granddaughters, Stephanie Carlson and Cassidy Kirk; niece, Lori Kirk; many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews. Memorial service is Sunday 5PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. A reception and meal will follow in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
