Oline Beckner

September 28, 1945 — October 20, 2024

Oline Fay Cash Beckner was born September 28, 1945 in Onawa, Iowa to the late Elmer L. and Olive M. Cash. She was surrounded by her family when she went home to be with Jesus on October 20, 2024.

Oline lived on various farms in the Moorhead, Iowa area. She attended kindergarten and first grade in country school. Second grade through her junior year she attended school in Moorhead, Iowa. In 1963 she graduated from the newly formed East Monona Community school as part of its first graduating class.

After graduation Oline moved to Omaha and worked for Mutual of Omaha for ten years. During this time, she met her future husband, Stan, whom she married on November 14, 1970. To that union was born one beloved son, Matthew. Later, Oline worked for Woodmen of the World Insurance, retiring in 2010 after almost 25 years of service.

Oline gave her life to Jesus in 1955 at the age of 10. In 1974, she joined First Christian Church and there used her talents and gifts to serve the kingdom in many different capacities including choir, helping in Sunday School and VBS, and women's ministry. She very much loved the Monday Morning Ladies Bible study, which she attended with her sister Lola.

Cooking, baking, and decorating cakes and cookies to share with others brought Oline joy. At last count, she had collected 923 cookie cutters. She also enjoyed bluegrass and classic country music, but the love of her life was her family, especially her granddaughters Morgan and Kendra.

Oline is survived by her husband of almost 54 years, Stan, their son, Matthew and daughter-in-law Kristina and granddaughters Morgan and Kendra Beckner. In addition, she is survived by her sister Marcella (Cash) Bumann and brother-in-law Wendell Bumann, sister Lola Cash, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Gloria and Terry Blum, sister-in-law Sally Rude, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family and friends.
