Paul Allen Mcclelland

Paul A. McClelland, age 69, of Council Bluffs passed away August 13, 2016. He was born in Council Bluffs on December 8, 1946 to the late Alan and Rose (LaChappell) McClelland. Paul attended Abraham Lincoln High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Army. After retiring from Jim Hawk Truck Trailers, he worked for the City of Council Bluffs in the Street Department. He was a member of the American Legion - Lamar J. Hartje Post#725 in Treynor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Doug and Steven McClelland; sister, Karen Wells and a niece, Laurie Nelson. Paul is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ann (Trede) McClelland; daughter, Kate McClelland (Joe); son, Andrew McClelland; granddaughter, Drew Kathleen McClelland; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. on Tuesday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 11:00a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Interment will be later that afternoon in the Zion Congregational Church Cemetery in Treynor, Iowa. The family will direct memorials.
