Paul Long

Paul Long, age 75, passed away at Dunlap Specialty Care February 26, 2024. He was born May 20, 1948 to Clem & Sarah (Hooker) Long in Council Bluffs, IA. 

Paul graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the Class of 1966. He retired from Cresline Plastic Pipe after almost 30 years of service. Paul and Peggy were married for 41 years. Paul enjoyed drinking some beers, fishing, shooting guns, and riding motorcycles with his buddies for fun. He was extremely smart, with a great sense of humor, and lived to make people smile. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Long; brothers, Charles Long and Steven Long; and stepdaughter, Jamie Chiburis.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Sarah Long; sisters, Sally Brockman (Jerry), Nancy Long, and Kathy (Reggie) Schroeder; brothers, Clint Long and Michael Long; nieces; nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, March 4, 2024. The family will direct memorials.
