Peggy J. Goss "The Cake Lady"

She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on September 18, 1935, to the late Raymond and Martha (Jensen) Higginbotham. Peggy graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the class of 1953 and a longtime cake baker and decorator.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband LaVerne Goss; son, Mark Goss; brother, Dr. Robert Higginbotham; granddaughter, Laura Behrens; brother-in-law, John Stewart.

Peggy is survived by her children, Cecelia Behrens (Richard), Teresa Wickersham (Brian), Martin Goss (Charlene); sister, Linda Stewart; brother, Dr. Dennis Higginbotham (Timee); sister-in-law, Mary Jo Higginbotham; brother-in-law, David Goss (Elaine); grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday December 6, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service is at the funeral home on Tuesday December 7, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. Interment is in Memorial Park Cemetery.
