Philip J. Hiers

Philip J. Hiers, age 57, passed away January 15, 2016. He was born in Council Bluffs on December 16, 1958 to the late Harold and Colleen Hiers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a half-brother, Cecil Hiers; brother-in-law, Steve Carter. Philip is survived by his wife, Teena Hiers; their pets, Cooper and Fat Girl; siblings, Dennis Hiers (Teresa), Ted Hiers (Jan), David Hiers (Jeannie), Sylvia Locke, Timothy Hiers Sr. (Rhonda), Tom Hiers; John Hiers (Coral), Sharon Rogers (Steve), Rosie Barker; in-laws, Tim Carter (LeAnn), Mitch Carter (Brandi), Tara Bartlett (Rick), Debbie Barnes; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Monday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment is in Garner Township Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
