Regina M. Zuch-Lubbe

Regina M. Zuch-Lubbe, age 96, of Council Bluffs passed away on August 23, 2015. She was born in rural Council Bluffs on October 4, 1918 to the late Joseph and Louisa (Frohardt) Nusser. She lived outside Council Bluffs until age 5 and then lived in town until 1939. She then moved to the area just outside Treynor. She attended grade school in Council Bluffs and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. After high school she finished a course at Burroughs Office Machine School in Omaha and then went to work in the office in the Downtown Brandeis Store until she married. Regina married Roland Zuch in 1939 and became a homemaker. Regina volunteered at Childrens Square. She was a member and Past Matron of Amber Star 328, the Eastern Star and the White Shrine of Jerusalem and Past Worthy High Priestess. Regina belonged to the Paint and Pallet China Painters and the World Organization of China Painters. She was a longtime member of Zion Congregational Church in Treynor. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Zuch; second husband, Marvin Lubbe to whom she married in 1970; son-in-law, Ronald Brockman; 5 sisters and 4 brothers. Regina is survived by her children, Charles Chuck Zuch and his wife Beverley, LaVon Brockman, Janet Henke and her husband Robert, Pauline Longnecker and her husband, Ron; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and 4 step great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment is in Ridgewood Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
