Renate Barbara Meyer

Renate Barbara Meyer, age 69, passed away peacefully April 14, 2025 in Mesa Arizona, after almost 37 years of marriage, and a two year battle with fallopian tube cancer.

Renate was born in Ellingen, Germany on December 1, 1955 to Arno and Hannalore Lohrke, both deceased. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her 'adopted' grandparents Tom and Lucy Wheeldon. She married her loving husband, Richard, September 16, 1988. She spent most of her career, in Phoenix, working as a receptionist for Dry Utility Services. She retired in 2011 and moved to Sunland Springs Village where she made many friends playing tennis, cards, bowling, and Mah Jongg.

Renate is survived by her husband, Richard A Meyer, and her brother and his wife, Thomas and Jackie Lohrke and their daughter Shelbie Lohrke, all from Council Bluffs, Iowa. Also by Richard's sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Merle Landrus.

Per Renate's wishes, there will be no services held.
