Rick Snyder

Richard (Rick) Keith Snyder, age 52, passed away October 18, 2022. He was born August 26, 1970 in Council Bluffs, IA. Rick graduated from Missouri Valley High School with the class of 1988. He went on to attend Buena Vista University on a baseball scholarship. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and worked at West Corporation and Union Pacific Railroad.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, watching his kids’ sporting events, and The Beatles. He was a fan of the Mets, the Titans, and the Hawkeyes. He loved life, being competitive, and especially loved making people laugh.

Rick is survived by his mom, Debbie Barnard (Tim Waldron); his children, Alex (Dalton) Stone, Trey (Jenny) Snyder and Kaden Snyder; siblings, Brenda (Shawn) Thomas, Mike (Leslie) Snyder, Carrie Snyder, and Bob (Joanna) Barnard. He was Papa Rick to Jase, Myla, Ryder and Archer. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews Sara, Adam, Ethan, Elliott, Eric, Maddie and Bobby and a host of other family and friends, including the late Trevor Rehfeldt.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, October 24, 2022.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. The family will direct memorials.
