Robert "Bob" Wulf

Robert “Bob” E. Wulf, age 69, of Council Bluffs passed away September 30, 2017.

He was born on July 31, 1948 to the late Ernest and Martha Wulf. When Bob was born, his dad was so proud to have a boy that he told everyone in the neighborhood.

Bob was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran in Andover, Iowa. He graduated from Miles High School in Miles, Iowa.

Bob would have liked to farm, but after the passing of his father when he was age 14, the opportunity did not present itself. However, he was able to help his sister, Bette and brother-in-law, Roland on their farm.

Bob worked for the Chicago and North Western Railroad following high school and for the Union Pacific Railroad for a total of 42 years until his retirement in 2008.

He married Judy McClimon on May 24, 1969 in Clinton, Iowa and together they celebrated their 48th anniversary this year. The couple looked forward to their yearly fall trips to Branson, Missouri and enjoyed going to various shows, craft shops and looking for new colored rocks to add to their personal collection. At home, they enjoyed watching car auctions and the Travel and Food Channels together.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jacqueline Wilke and Vivian Ronnfelt.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Wulf; daughter, Dawn Wulf; granddaughter, Mercades Rixen; great grandchildren, Bianca and Niamiah Rixen; sister, Bette (Roland) Petersen of Bryant, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be October 14, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the memorial service to begin at 2:00 p.m., all at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Multiple Sclerosis Research, Treatment, and Education or Kidney Cancer Research in Bob’s name.
