Robert F. Snyder

A family graveside service was held for Robert F. Snyder on Friday, September 4, 2015. A World War II veteran, Robert was preceded in death in 1999 by his wife of 53 years, Bertha (Bush) Snyder; his parents, Shurley and Mary and sister Shirley. He is survived by his 3 sons, Rob (Gay), Gil (Jan) and Tom; 7 grandchildren, Dana, David, Sarah, Mahaney (Matt), Shawn ( Naomi), Kelly (fiancée Molly), Connor and Baylee; 1 step grandchild, Nathan; 1 great grandchild, Shay and one expected; 6 brothers, Ralph, Don, Ted, Gary, Jim and Steve and 1 sister, Barbara. After the war, Robert (Bob) became a painter / contractor and worked both in his own business and later in life for the Iowa Riggers Loft. He selflessly served his church, First Baptist Church of Omaha, for many years both as an usher and by providing painting services. Bob was also an active part of his sons years in Boy Scouts. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Midlands Nursing Home for their services as well as the staff of Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Special thanks also to Loren Carrier and Darrell Guest for their friendship and assistance to Bob.
