Robert L. "Bob" Griffis

Robert L. Bob Griffis, age 82, of Council Bluffs passed away July 5, 2015. He was born in Missouri Valley, Iowa on July 31, 1932 to the late Jesse and Alice (Jobe) Griffis. Bob was a concrete finisher most of his life and was very active in his church. He was a member and a deacon at New Beginnings Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Griffis; brothers, Tom, Dennis and Steve Griffis; brother-in-law, Dale Herrick Bob is survived by his wife, Lorraine Griffis; sons, Steve Myers, Craig Griffis and his wife Sue, Keith Griffis; sister, LaVonda Herrick; brothers, Tobe Griffis, Gary Griffis and his wife Jere Lee; special extended family, Joni Myers, Karen Godin, Bev Wolf and Gonia Kris Jarecki; 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Thursday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Friday 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in the Calhoun Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to New Beginnings Church of God of Prophecy.
