Robert L. "Bob" Steppuhn

Robert L. Bob Steppuhn, age 71 of Council Bluffs passed away August 28, 2013 after an extended illness. He was born in Council Bluffs on May 20, 1942 to the late Robert G. & Mary Annabelle (Bates) Steppuhn. Bob graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1960. Bob had a long career with Kitty Clover and then retired in 2007 as a distributor for Little Debbie. Bob was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church and the National Guard 168th Infantry Division and American Legion Rainbow Post #2. He enjoyed traveling and visiting many places in the U.S., cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean and fishing trips to Canada. He especially loved and enjoyed his children, grandchildren and many friends and family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Joe Henderson; brother-in-law, Bud Larsen and uncle, Donnie Bates. Bob is survived by his wife, Joyce to whom he married on October 22, 1961; children, Juli Steppuhn Henderson, Scott Steppuhn & his wife, Jeanna, LeAnn Morris & her husband, Michael; sister, Christina Larsen; brother and sister-in-law, Dave & Donna Steppuhn; grandchildren, Marty Henderson (Whitney), Theresa Henderson, Jordan Henderson, Cassidy Henderson, Alexandria Crum, Alicia Steppuhn, Allison Steppuhn, Nathan Morris and Kyleigh Morris; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Monday 5-7PM at Saint John Lutheran Church. Funeral service is Tuesday 10:30AM at the church. Interment is in the Ridgewood Cemetery followed by a reception back at the church. Memorials are suggested to Saint John Lutheran Church or The Council Bluffs Senior Center.
