Roberta "Bert" Leisure

Roberta S. “Bert” Leisure, age 73, of Pacific Junction passed away February 22, 2017 at CHI Mercy Hospital.

She was born in Great Bend, Kansas on April 14, 1943 to the late Floyd and Nettie (Wonsettler) Applegate. Bert was united in marriage to Harry Leisure on November 11, 1962 and together they had four children. At one point, Bert attended South East Community College where she learned to drive truck and spent a number of years driving with Harry.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannie Goodrich; brother, Harry Applegate; sister, Mary Alice Rhoads.

Bert is survived by her husband of 54 years, Harry Leisure; children, Steven Leisure (Crissy Dugger), Khristie Gardner, Brian Leisure (Sherry); brother, Wayne Applegate; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m., on Monday, at the funeral home. Interment is in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
