A graduation celebration will be held Saturday 4:00 P.M. at the Hoy Kilnoski Pavilion for Rocky Martin. Friends will gather to celebrate the Master?s decree for finishing well in people smithing. As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Rocky was well known for his passion in molding youth and sharpening men to be spiritual leaders in their families and for encouraging and teaching love for everyone. Rocky was also awarded purple tassels in his mission to show others how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska and played and schooled in Northeast Omaha. He worked as a mason and as an electrical technician for Western Engineering/Avaya. He enjoyed the chance to hand hew a log or weave rocks in creating unique artscapes. Blue skies, clear streams, tall mountains and secret pathways were his cherished moments. God?s creation stirred his heart and soul. His father Donald Martin and Brother in Law Butch Milota preceded him in his journey. Rocky?s family includes wife, Terri Martin; mother, Shirley Benish; sister Sharron Milota; daughters Becky Barns and husband Jeremiah Barns, Collette Leduc, Crystal Cushman and husband Mitch Cushman; Sons are Sage Martin and Tyler Kermoade; grandsons Jayden Cushman, Logan Manz, Cory Cushman, Layton Manz; and a host of family and friends.
