Roger J. Ring

Roger J. Ring, age 61, passed away March 3, 2016. He was born in Council Bluffs on July 1, 1954 to James W. and Helen M. (Purdy) Ring. Roger graduated from Lewis Central High School with the class of 1972. He grew up around horses and participated in rodeos. Roger was a member of the Pony Express Riders, he loved to hunt, fish and was an excellent trailer mechanic. Roger was preceded in death by his father and sister, Jacolyn Gundlach. Roger is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nancy Ring; daughter, Makayla Ring; son, Andrew Ring; mother, Helen Ring; siblings, Kim Hewett and her husband Tim, Mark Ring and his wife Kim, Linda Curry and her husband Kim; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. on Sunday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Memorial service is 11:00a.m. on Monday at the funeral home followed by a luncheon in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
