Ronald N. Vittitoe

Ronald N. Vittitoe, age 76, of Council Bluffs passed away December 15, 2015 in Omaha. He was born on June 9, 1939 in Modale, Iowa to the late Paul and Violet (Hime) Vittitoe. He married Theon Hogue on June 25, 1960 at First Baptist Church in Council Bluffs. He retired from OPPD in 1996 after 39 years of service. Ron was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theon Vittitoe. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Cindy and Kevin Kohlscheen, Denise and Brian Schoening, and Ronda and Matt Gammel; grandchildren: Nick Vittitoe, Amanda and her husband Stuart Frazier, Jon Kohlscheen (Elizabeth Graham), Mike Kohlscheen, Rachel Schoening and Christie Schoening; great grandchildren: Lyla Frazier, Charlotte Frazier, and Adair Kohlscheen; sister, Virginia and her husband Bob ONeill; aunts, Wilma Vittitoe, Evelyn Purchase and Bonnie and her husband Robert Stevenson; special friend, Mildred the cat; other extended relatives, and friends. Visitation is Saturday from 5:30-7:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to begin at 7;00 p.m. all at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Private family inurnment in the Magnolia Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
