Rose Kirchhoff

Rose Mary Kirchhoff, age 85 years, passed away at Midlands Living Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa after battling cancer on September 29, 2024.

Rose was born January 5, 1939, in Omaha, NE, to the late Joseph and Virginia (De George) Christina. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs with the Class of 1958. Rose was united in marriage to Grant Kirchhoff on October 18, 1958.

Rose will forever be cherished for her kindness, warmth, and the love she shared with those around her. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sharing weekly coffee dates with friends, and taking trips to Branson, MO. She loved line dancing at the senior center, reading, and listening to Elvis, and was a proud member of the Red Hat Society.

Rose was preceded in death along with her parents; by daughter, Sherry Coburn; brother, George Christina; sisters, Cathy Gallup, Sarah Merritt, and Shirley Stoner; and niece, Debbie Smith.

Rose is survived by husband, Donald "Grant" Kirchhoff; daughters, Lori Kirchhoff and Brenda (Jay) Marshall; son-in-law, Galen Coburn; brother, Alfred (Pat) Christina; sister-in-law, Julene (Gordie) Zealand; grandchildren, Casey Cronk, Carly Guinan, Claire (Chase) Dowell, Paige and Grace Marshall; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, October 3, 2024.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, October 4, 2024. The family will direct memorials.
