Ruth Anne Fichter

Ruth Anne (Collins) Fichter, age 77, passed away October 27, 2022.

She was born in Council Bluffs, IA on June 25, 1945, to the late, Russell and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Collins.

She retired from Harrah's Casino from the bakery department. Ruth enjoyed living on the farm in Missouri Valley and spending her time tending to the many farm animals they had. She also enjoyed a "GOOD" yard sale, reading and playing games on the computer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Fichter; her sister, Linda; and brothers, Gary Collins and Russell Collins.

Ruth is survived by children, Tim Deal Fichter (Wendy), John Fichter II (Michelle), Jolene Huerta (Sam); siblings, Orville Collins, Pat (Erv) Rolland, Brian Collins; sister-in-law, Betty Gardner-Heiman; brother-in-law, Frank Fichter; grandchildren, Ashly Decker (Tim), Lynn, Ben, Nick (Cammey), Mackenzie, Savannah (Dallas), Johnny III, Kaleigh, Ashleigh, Tyler (Brieanna), Hondo (Daisy), Jaime (Lucy), Javier (Tori), Adriana (Bret), Kaelyn; great-grandchildren, Harper, Henry, Ryker, Rylan, Wesley, Opal, Jaxon, Gabriella, Lucca, Collin, Tessa, Tahlia, and Cadence; nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Interment is in Fairview Pioneer Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
