Sally Thomsen

Sally Thomsen, age 66, passed away October 1, 2023. She was born August 30, 1957 to Robert and Esther (Meritt) Renner in Omaha, NE. She graduated from Lewis Central High School in 1975. Most of her life she worked as a home health aide or a teacher aide. Sally married Richard Thomsen in 1976, the couple had two children. She enjoyed spending time with nieces but especially her grandchildren. She loved animals and would never turn an injured animal away.

She was preceded in death by father, Robert Renner; mother, Esther Renner; sister, Vera Davis.

Sally is survived by her husband, Richard Thomsen; daughter, Christina (Robert Faber) Thomsen; son, Justin (Erin) Thomsen; grandchildren, Seth Bolton (Breanna Waterman), Mia Mendoza, Ian Mendoza; nieces, and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial Service will be on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 3:00 p.m at Riverside Community of Christ (2828 Ave G, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). The family will direct memorials.
