Sandra Jean (Musselman) Arnold passed away at her home on June 9, 2024 at the age of 85.
She was born in Hopeville, IA, on April 17, 1939, to the late Ray and Helen (Fletcher) Musselman. She grew up in the Creston area and resided most of her adult life in Council Bluffs.
Sandra enlisted in the Air Force after high school and moved to Council Bluffs in the mid 60's. She worked alongside her husband Gene in the front office of Arnold Tool & Die for many years, and worked the last portion of her career for Pamida/Shopko in Omaha as an executive assistant. Sandy's favorite pastime was quilting; she especially loved appliqué and doing her own hand quilting. And, yes, hers was the "Patches" license plate.
In addition to her parents and an infant brother, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Arnold; sister Linda Kiesling; stepson Lloyd Arnold; and stepson-in-law John Gibler.
She is survived by her sister Mickey Hill (Wendell); daughter Tracy Pope (Tim); granddaughter Kelly Gonzalez (Oscar); grandson Bradley Pope (Meghan); stepdaughters Arthella Cox (Steve), Jeanine Gibler, and Ruby Chezem (Dave); stepdaughter-in-law Peggy Arnold Fender; stepsons Tom Arnold (Carol) and Tim Arnold (Cindy); and all their children and family members.
Sandy did not wish to have a memorial service; she will be cremated and interred at Hazel Dell Cemetery. A dinner with family and friends to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
