Scott Edmund Ream, age 58, of Council Bluffs, passed away September 4, 2018.
He was born in Sioux City, Iowa on October 13, 1959 to John and Sally Ream.
Scott grew up in South Sioux City, NE and graduated in 1977 from South Sioux City High School. After graduation Scott moved to the Council Bluffs area and had 3 sons Josh and twins Austin and Dustin.
Professionally Scott was a steel worker at Griffin Pipe and a member of the United Steelworkers Local 3141. He retired in 2014 after 30 years of service.
Scott and, his beloved wife of 3 years, Birgit, had a passion for outlaw country and southern rock music. They enjoyed listening to Waylon Jennings on the jukebox at Sugars. Through the years Scott also enjoyed local auctions and antiquing. He had a love of animals and really enjoyed spending time with their dog Flecki. On Saturdays, Scott and his sons loved a good husker football game.
Scott touched many lives during his lifetime and he will surely be missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Ream
Scott is survived by wife Birgit Ream; Oldest son Josh Ream and wife Dawn with their 3 children; Brylie (10), Brayden (7), and Barrett (1); and twin sons Austin Ream and Dustin Ream with wife Amy with their 4 children; Creighton (6), Harrison (5), Aniston (4), and Ellison (3); mother, Sally Ream; sister, Kristene Watkins and Rusty; brother, Kris Ream and the late Tamra; along with a host of other family and friends.
Memorial service is 1:00p.m. on Saturday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church – 313 Story Street in Council Bluffs. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service.
