Sharletta Boulware

Sharletta A. "Shar" Boulware, age 85, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away at her home on August 31, 2023.

She was born in Scranton, Iowa, on February 9, 1938, to the late Roy and Irene (Swartz) Boulware. Shar graduated from Scranton High School with the class of 1956 and retired from US West. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Red Hat Society.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rosetta Seaton; twin sister, Shirletta Orchard; infant sister, Fayetta Boulware.

Shar is survived by her longtime special friends, Connie Gilliland; sisters, Izetta (Robert) Dirking, Arletta Williams, and Marietta Coil; brother, Roy Boulware; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 5, 2023, at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Visitation will be during the hour prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church, Council Bluffs Kennel Club, or Midlands Humane Society.
