Shirley M. Jones

Shirley M. Jones, age 74, of Council Bluffs passed away July 29, 2016 at Nebraska Medicine. She was born March 5, 1942 in Ellsworth, Iowa to the late Jalmer and Edna (Swenson) Stensland. Shirley retired from the Council Bluffs Community School Districts purchasing department. Shirley is survived by her husband, Leland Jones; son, Perry Jones; granddaughter, Camerin Jones; siblings, Orlin Stensland (Nancy), Joan Peterson (John), Mervin Stensland (Barb), Patricia Crabtree, Wally Stensland, Roger Stensland (Carol) and Margit Abshier (Paul); nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday with funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service and interment will be later that afternoon in the Garner Township Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
