Celebrating the life of Thomas Dean Stonehouse

Thomas D. Stonehouse, age 82, passed away in Stillwater, Minnesota on April 4, 2022.

He was born in Iowa City, Iowa to the late Robert and Frances (Radosevich) Stonehouse.
Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and spent most of his career as a photo engraver and pressman until he retired from the Omaha World Herald. Thomas was a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Church in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Jo (Gawley) Stonehouse, sister Helen Fogel, and brother Robert Stonehouse.

Thomas is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Julie Stonehouse, Matthew and Erin Stonehouse; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Randall Heimgartner; sisters Lucille Bruhn and Ruth Nielsen; brother Jack Stonehouse; and 8 grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church - 4 Valley View Drive in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service, also at the church. Internment is in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Irwin, Iowa.
