Thomas McGinn

Thomas Gareb McGinn, age 62, passed away at his home on March 22, 2025.

He was born February 17, 1963 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Edmund A. McGinn.

Tom was an outdoorsman who found his greatest joy in nature. Whether casting a line on a quiet lake or river, or tracking game in the woods, he simply enjoyed the outdoors and felt most at home under an open sky. He cherished time spent fishing and hunting. He loved a good bonfire and shared his love for the outdoors with his family and friends. Above all, Tom loved being a husband to Karen and a father to Annalisa and Marcus.

Tom is survived by his wife, Karen McGinn; daughter, Annalisa McGinn; son, Marcus (Kelsie) McGinn; step children, Tifany (Josh) Wolla, Tianna (Doug) Weymer, and Michael (Hannah) Hoschar; mother, Mary Margaret McGinn; siblings, Kellie McGinn, Pat (Tammy) McGinn, and Maureen McGinn; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of other family and friends.
