Thora Verlene Kephart

Thora Verlene Kephart, age 82, of Council Bluffs passed away September 19, 2015 at Risen Son Christian Village. She was born in Council Bluffs on March 28, 1933 to the late Rollie and Rose Falknor. She worked at Charles Schneider Furniture and then later owned and operated the Glass Front Tavern with her late husband, Richard Kephart. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Lyle Sales Sr. and Richard Kephart; brothers, Bobby Falknor and Clair Falknor; sister, Ruth Palmer; son, Darrell Duffy Sales. Thora is survived by her sons, Lyle Sales (Margaret Walker), Kenny Sales, Eddie Sales, Richard Kephart (Patricia), Chuck Kephart (Bobbette), Randy Kephart (Lani); daughters, Rosie Henry (Dave), Pam Price (Floyd), Linda Haskins (Poncho); brothers, Lowell Falknor (Linda Kelley), Darwin Falknor (Betty); 30 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment is in the Hazel Dell Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
